You will visit the city of Arusha, the Momella area, Arusha National Park and West Kilimanjaro. An unforgettable journey full of surprises!
Arusha
Your journey begins in Arusha. You will spend your first night in a beautiful farmhouse from 1905, which is located in a particularly beautiful wooded area on the slope of Mount Meru, on the edge of the Arusha National Park. With the sounds of a rushing stream, you can catch your breath with a nice drink in hand.
Momella
Today you visit the Arusha National Park for your first guided walking safari.
After this you will get in the car and you will be taken to your accommodation in Momella, on the edge of the Arusha National Park.
In the coming days you will become intensively acquainted with local life in Momella; you visit a Maasai family and a school and an orphanage for Maasai children. You walk through the beautiful nature and along the Momella river. You visit the colorful and lively local market of Ngare Nanyuki, where fresh vegetables, second-hand clothing, woven fabrics, but also animals are traded.
West Kilimanjaro
After a delicious breakfast you will walk today – accompanied by a Maasai guide – to your other accommodation, with the mountains of Meru and Kilimanjaro on the horizon. Your Maasai guide will tell you all about the history and all the beauty that can be seen in this beautiful area. Together with him you climb the sacred hill Ol Doinyo Landaree in the village of Mukuru. Don’t be surprised if the zebras and giraffes are watching you here.
The accommodation with comfortable bomas where you spend the night is run by Maasai. Here you are the guests of the Maasai, who are happy to share their stories and energetic dance at sunset. With a Maasai healer you go looking for medicinal plants.
Sinya
Today you will visit the Sinya region in West Kilimanjaro. In this ecosystem Embosel you have the chance to get very close to the elephants. After a picnic in the wilderness you visit the market in Sinya, where you will find countless Maasai crafts, but also super cozy bars and cafes.
You spend the night in the wilderness in a cosy safari tent ‘Hemingway style’.
Arusha
Today, after breakfast, you will head back to Arusha. You can use this afternoon and evening to explore Arusha. At the end of the afternoon you will be picked up and taken to Kilimanjaro Airport for a return flight back home.
Do you want to see and experience even more? Then it is of course possible to extend this trip, for example to Zanzibar Island or with a walking and/or jeep safari in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Ruaha or Selous / Nyerere or one of the other beautiful national parks in Tanzania.
Back home
After a night flight you will arrive at the airport of your home country in the morning.
