About Expeditionary Walking Camp

Expeditionary Walking Camp is a small and private mobile wilderness camp in remote parts of Tanzania with varied game. Comfortable and well cared for.

Under the guidance of a safari guide, you walk in places where there is no one else. Places where you can quietly discover the wildlife, as was done in the past. From August to October in the Ugalla Game Reserve and the rest of the year at various places along the migration route in the Serengeti and the Gol Mountains.

This is the original safari concept; on foot.
Alone, yet connected in a way you had forgotten.

The property

Expeditionary Walking Camp has three comfortable tents, suitable for 2 to 6 guests, with a good mattress and a beautiful view from your bed. The ultimate and old school safari experience.

Expeditionary Walking Camp is fully equipped. All meals are prepared by the chef at the camp and served under the stars.

Note 1: The minimum stay is 3 nights.
Note 2: The final price for the accommodation depends on the season and currency fluctuations. And does not include additional costs such as transport, entrance fees to the parks, etc.

Activities

Expeditionary Walking Camp is the ultimate way for a group of friends or family to visit these little-known areas of Tanzania off-grid, adventurously but relaxed.

Expeditionary Walking Camp offers the following activities:

  • Exploration and walking safaris
  • Relaxing in the camp

Locations

August – October: Ugalla River Wild Reserve, in western Tanzania. You will find elephants, buffalo, leopards and sable and roan antelopes here.

November – February: Serengeti National Park – East. Vast savannas, riverbeds and kopjes on the migration route.

March – April: Gol Mountains, east of the Serengeti. The valleys and cliffs of the Gol Mountains and Salei Plains lie on the migration route. It is the period of flowering and the birth of young ungulates.

May – July: Serengeti National park – West. On the migration route, when the animals leave the savannas towards the north, crossing first the Grumeti River and eventually the Mara River.
