The property

Greystoke Mahale consists of six exotic ‘badas’ thatched bungalows on the beach. All bandas are made from recycled dhow ships, luxuriously furnished and offer a view of the lake.

The beautiful lounge has several viewing levels, highly suitable for the necessary drinks in the evening.

From € 616 to € 1.165 pppn (full board, including drinks and safaris)

Please note: the final property price depends on the season and currency fluctuations. Prices are excluding additional costs like transport, entrance fees for the parks, etc.

Covid-19

  • All guests are required to wear masks in public places, including airport areas, at park entrances and domestic flights. And also in case of a village or city visit.
  • In a private safari jeep, wearing a mask is not mandatory, unless guests from outside your party are also traveling along.
  • During the camp, the staff taking care of the guests keep a social distance (2 meters as far as possible) and waiters wear masks when serving guests.
  • Back-of-house personnel maintain a social distance with other personnel.
  • Housekeepers wear personal protective equipment when cleaning rooms.

To protect the chimpanzees against human viruses, extra rules have been added:

  • Guests must provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test less than 2 weeks ago.
  • Guests will be instructed not to touch anything in the forest with their bare hands.
  • Guests should keep a distance of 10 meters from the chimpanzees.
  • Before each chimpanzee trek, guests will have their temperature measured.
  • Guests with signs of a cold will not be able to visit the chimpanzees.
  • Extra daily disinfection of clothes before entering the forest.
  • Increased safety measures through the use of N95 masks around chimpanzees.

By visiting this property, you help with projects in the vicinity of the property. These are projects in the field of health, education and/or animal welfare and the environment.

Among other things, all administration costs of the projects are paid, all profits from the camp shop and the massages go to these projects, as well as all donations from guests.
