About Lake Shore Lodge
Secluded Lake Shore Lodge is located on the beach of magical Lake Tanganyika, not far from Mahale Mountains and Katavi National Park.
The chalets at Lake Shore Lodge have a private stretch of beach, right on the crystal clear waters of Lake Tanganyika. And with a fantastic view over the islands and the hills of Congo.
You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.

The thatched chalets and honeymoon suite are built right on the water. Romantic and adventurous.
The restaurant offers international cuisine and only serves dishes using the freshest ingredients from the area’s local organic farmers and its own garden. You dine on the lake side under the stars.

Rooms
The chalets are located right on the edge of Lake Tanganyika. The front doors open fully and offer fantastic views of the islands in front of the lodge. Each room has its own beach area and is en-suite with a shower, toilet, sink and dressing area.
The honeymoon suite is delightfully romantic, with a sunken bath, twin showers and a private waterfront dining terrace.
The Bandas do not have a private bathroom. They have a Zen style bathroom which is located just behind the Bandas.
