Tandala Safari Camp is located in a beautiful acacia forest along the Mdweka Sand River, approximately two hours from Iringa. The camp is run by the owners Yanni and Dionysia Fliakos.

Tandala means ‘Kudu’ in Swahili, the majestic antelope common here.

Tandala Safari Camp guarantees one of the best safari experiences in Tanzania.

The property

Tandala Safari Camp consists of eleven spacious, elevated, luxury tents. Watch the wildlife along the Mdweka Sand River from your veranda. There is rock pool under a giant baobab tree.

The lounge bar is a great meeting point for a drink at sunset. The kitchen of Tandala Safari Camp is known for its delicious homemade Mediterranean dishes.

Jeep safaris in open jeeps and walking safaris are organized from Tandala Safari Camp. The crew of expert guides and employees guarantees a hospitable welcome in this atmospheric camp.

Tandala Safari Camp has spacious, raised tent rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and a large veranda with comfortable seating.
Extra beds are available for children or for a third person.

Activities

From Tandala Safari Camp the safaris can be undertaken in the early morning or afternoon for a part or full day. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide and driver. The 4WD is open on the side.

Price indication

From €280 to €295 pppn (full board and safaris).

Please note that the final price for the accommodation will depend on the season and currency fluctuations. And is exclusive of additional costs such as transport, entrance fees to the parks, etc.

Socially involved

Tandala Safari Camp also supports the Mbomipa Village Project and helps raise awareness and conservation of wildlife through the surrounding villages, benefiting them by becoming self-sufficient and able to build schools and health centers.
