What a fantastic two weeks we’ve had in Tanzania!

We not only enjoyed the beautiful nature, the many animals and friendly people, but also the perfect organization of Explore Tanzania! Everything was arranged down to the last detail for us, our expectations were fully met.

We chose to go to the less crowded national parks, namely Mikumi National Park, the Udzungwa Mountains and the Selous Game Reserve. We also preferred not to take domestic flights, but to cover the distances between the parks with the 4×4. That turned out to be a fantastic choice for us! We spent a lot of travel time in the car, but we had a pleasant driver who guided us perfectly the first week. Along the way, we crossed different landscapes and got a good impression of the way of life of the local population.

In Mikumi National Park we enjoyed a game drive, where we spotted our first giraffes, zebras, elephants (before entering the park), lions, buffalo, wildebeest, hippos, …
After that, we went to the Udzungwa mountains where we went on a full day walking safari. We went to waterfalls with a beautiful view and where there was the possibility to swim.
The last national park was Selous Game Reserve. We stayed here for 2 days. We went 2x on a game drive and did a boat safari. Here too we have spotted numerous animals, including for example wild dogs !!!

We ended our trip with a few days of relaxing on Zanzibar.

All accommodations were exactly as we had in mind: varied (from home to mud hut – to hotel – to safari tent – to resort on Zanzibar), pleasant, friendly staff, good food, beautiful setting …

We only had to enjoy …
And we’ve done lots of it!!
