In Tanzania, there are thousands of kilometers of paths to explore.

There are wonderful bike rides around the National Parks in the north of Tanzania. And a very special one-week bicycle tour on Zanzibar Island. However, exploring part of the island in one day is possible too of course.

Lake Manyara / Mto wa Mbu

A few hours of mountain biking in the area around Lake Manyara National Park is wonderful and a unique way to explore this area.

You can cycle for a few hours through villages such as Mto wa Mbu or Magara, where you also visit one of the surrounding plantations and / or a school. In this way you become acquainted with the local life in this environment. And afterwards you can cycle along the shores of the lake.

Zanzibar

Cycle a day or maybe a whole week on Zanzibar Island? That is the ultimate way to discover this island.

You can choose from different bike rides on Zanzibar Island, combined with a visit to a plantation, a forest, dolphins and / or swimming.

Arusha and Meru

The surroundings of Arusha city is a beautiful area at the foot of Mount Meru where you can explore the local life and nature by bike for a day. A very nice way to start your safari and get to know the local life.

You cycle through narrow paths through villages, plantations and farmlands.

Tarangire to Lake Manyara

At Tarangire National Park start this two-day bike safari. You cycle through flat landscapes via narrow sandy paths towards the Great Rift valley at Lake Manyara National Park.

Arusha National Park

You make a short safari through Arusha National Park, en route to the starting point of this mountain bike safari: the Ngurdoto Crater.
The tour goes mainly around the edge of the crater where you have a beautiful view. During the trip, a park ranger also comes along because there is a chance that you will come across buffaloes along the way. Other animals that you might see are colobus monkeys, giraffes and various bird species.
The ride is partly on a dirt road and partly on steep and narrow paths that can be muddy.
